UMCT had some First Place finishes today with Dan Thompson breaking away from the Men’s C field early and taking home the win before almost lapping the field. Abby Ruess took home the Women’s A/B win, with Nicole Mertz, Megan Kelly, Robin Welling, and Jennie Zhu taking the next 4 places, while MK Marino took 3rd in the Women’s C after attacking the field early on. Overall a good race weekend as UMCT is still sitting in 1st Place in the NCCCC! Up next- the home race- The Water Tower Turnaround.

Great UI Road Race today for UMCT. Charlie Kranz took 2nd in the Men’s C and Nicole Mertz, Abby Ruess, Jennie Zhu, and Megan Kelly rounded out the Top 4 in the Women’s A/B. Tomorrow will be a day of fast-twitch muscles, sharp corners, and crashes in the Hawkeye Hootenany Criterium.
